Careers

Build perspective. Make better decisions.

We look for analytical, curious, internationally minded people who can turn research into advice a client can act on, and who want to get better at it every year.

Working here

What it is like to work at CIC

We are a small firm on purpose. That shapes almost everything about the experience.

A small firm, by design

You work close to senior colleagues, and to the client, from your first week. There is nowhere to hide, and no work that is beneath anyone.

Judgement over templates

We value people who can sit with an ambiguous question and reason towards a defensible answer, rather than reach for a familiar framework.

International by habit

Our work moves between China and international markets. Curiosity about how other places actually work counts for more here than any single credential.

Development

Mentorship built into the work

We do not treat development as something separate from the job. Because teams are small and senior people stay close to the analysis, most learning happens in the course of real engagements, on live questions, with direct feedback.

Newer colleagues are paired with a senior mentor who is responsible for their progress, not just their output. We put time into how to structure a problem, how to test an assumption, and how to make a recommendation land so that it is actually used.

For students and interns the aim is the same at a smaller scale: to leave with a sharper way of thinking about markets and decisions, whether or not your career continues with us.
